With the introduction of the medical cannabis reform and a week before the citizens of Israel go to the polls, the 1.4 conference will open on Monday (2019) - the largest and leading cannabis conference in Israel.
Kanatek has been held for the fifth consecutive year in Israel and this year is expected to be more professional and broader than ever before. Hundreds of visitors will visit companies' stalls to present the latest innovations in the field, as well as attend industry lectures.
As in previous years, and in view of its success, the conference will be held this year at the Trask Event Hall and the Tel Aviv Port, with an impressive and spacious ground floor, an innovative lecture hall and an open top floor with a magnificent view of the Mediterranean Sea.
More than 80 Expert speakers will update the following on a conference on the new cannabis industry: new cannabis-growing technologies, alternative cannabinoids, genetic improvement techniques, research progress and cannabis effects on health.
The senior guest will be former Prime Minister Ehud Barak, who was recently appointed chairman of the Israeli cannabis company, Kandok, and was followed by a wave of former public service officials who joined the growing cannabis industry in Israel.
Other distinguished names worthy of hearing are Prof. Gil Bar-Sela, Head of the Oncology Department at the Emek Medical Center, Dr. Nirit Bernstein, National Genetics Researcher, Prof. Oded Schuseib, Nanotechnology Expert, Tamar Mintz of BDS Analytics, and others.
The list of sponsors at 2019 is also wider than ever, and includes Canadian giant cannabis Aurora, Cannabis Now, one of the world's leading cannabis newspapers, and of course the Israeli medical cannabis companies Tikkun Olam, Shaykh, Kendok and IMC.
Experience from previous years can ensure that visitors enjoy a positive atmosphere, excellent food and drink, and interesting characters. However, in view of the growing interest in cannabis and the number of companies and speakers at the event, this year may be more crowded than ever.
The conference will be held for two days (1-2 in April), at the Trask Hall, Yosef Yekutieli Street, Tel Aviv Port. Unfortunately the entry price for the event is not less than 6 dollars (tickets can be purchased here).
