A driver identified 30 cannabis plants near a Shapirim interchange - and reported to police

A citizen who identified cannabis seedlings near a Shapirim interchange reported to police. Police arrived and uprooted the seedlings.

Close to 30 cannabis seedlings were seized in the open area adjacent to a Shapirim interchange, according to a report by the Israel Police this morning.

Police reportedly arrived at the scene following a report that a driver who was driving near the area identified the plants growing on the scene.

Upon receiving the report, traffic police officers arrived on the scene and uprooted the seedlings after identifying it as cannabis seedlings.

Police said: “A report was recently received at the traffic control center about a citizen who noticed the open area near a Shapirim interchange with a number of seedlings inside a flower pot that look like cannabis seedlings. About 30 seedlings were collected from the area and transported for further investigation into the police station. ”
