A Telegram trading channel called “TeleCann” offers a discount of up to 50% on cannabis costs to medical cannabis patients who will present to the trader their license.
The original proposal comes in light of the severe shortage of medical cannabis products in pharmacies, and the poor quality of some of the products, following the four-month medicalization reform that took effect.
"In light of the situation in the farm networks and on the farm, we in the Telekan team will enable cannabis patients who need treatment or supplementation to buy cannabis from us at a nominal price," the poster posted on the group's channels.
According to a report on Ynet, medical cannabis patients will be able to present a license to "Telekan" trader, and receive a substantial discount on prices of up to NIS 50 per gram instead of NIS 80 to NIS 100 per normal.
The group's manager, known as the "Persian", told Ynet that it is a much higher quality cannabis than patients receive on legal cannabis growing farms.
"The reason we do this is because we know no one takes responsibility for the patients," says the "Persian", noting that they are available to absorb up to about 3,000 patients and even more.
"I know that this move may attract the attention of the police," he added, "but if you put the police concern in the equation with the help we give patients, it doesn't interest us."
Against the arrest of Telegrass channel manager Amos Silver, competitor Telekan notes that "we hope the police will understand alone that we have no desire to go with them to where they went with Telegrass".
